Los Lupeños Juvenil
In July, 2015 the Cashion Cultural Legacy officially launched a performing youth ensemble, Los Lupeños Juvenil, created from an Academy class that ran for two years prior.
Dancers in this company range from 10 to 15 years old. Los Lupeños Juvenil is taught by Artistic Director Samuel Cortez who rehearses them in a professional environment with special mentoring that prepares them to someday enter the adult Performing Company, Los Lupeños de San José. Juvenil dancers rehearse twice weekly and are expected to balance their school and family obligations as well.

No. Los Lupeños is free to participate in. Dancers do not pay tuition or membership fees, but participation requires a high level of commitment and some required parents volunteer involvement.

Yes. Los Lupeños Juvenil performs at community festivals, educational events, and select private celebrations, depending on availability and appropriateness of the event.

Dancers are invited based on skill level, consistency, and readiness. Placement is determined by the Artistic Director and instructors, and auditions or evaluations may be required. Participation in Los Lupeños Academy classes is strongly recommended before auditioning for the company.

Yes. Dancers must have prior folklórico training, usually through Los Lupeños Academy or an equivalent program.
