Maestra Abigail Fernández
Abigail Fernández began her journey with Los Lupeños Academy at the age of two in the Baile & Canta program. She progressed through the Academy’s training pathway and now proudly represents Los Lupeños Performing Company as a member of the performing company.
A graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School’s Class of 2026, Abigail is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and an Associate of Arts for Transfer in Cultural Anthropology at De Anza College.
Her experience with Los Lupeños has inspired a deep commitment to cultural preservation in San José and to sharing Mexican folk traditions with future generations. As an instructor, Abigail is passionate about helping dancers understand not only the technique behind each step, but also the cultural meaning, history, and purpose that make folklórico such a powerful art form. She looks forward to inspiring young dancers and helping them develop a lifelong appreciation for their heritage and community.
