LOS LUPEÑOS ACADEMY

Throughout its history, dance education has always been a part of the vision of the Cashion Cultural Legacy and of Los Lupeños de San José. Over the years Los Lupeños has hosted workshops, promoted national conferences, and sponsored visiting master instructors.
Simultaneously, an established curriculum of classes has been offered since its inception with brief interruptions due to space or economic constraints.

The Cashion Cultural Legacy offers public folklórico dance classes under Los Lupeños Academy. Our Academy has options for toddlers, children, teens and adults, at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Academy instructors not only teach dance, but connect the steps to music, customs, culture, language, and history. Students have the opportunity to learn dances along with what cultural norms or traditions they represent.

Registration, paperwork, and payments are all done onlineFinancial Aid is available and can be requested during the enrollment process.  Please email Academy Administrator Liz González if you have questions about our class offerings, the registration process, or financial aid requests.

Entrance protocols as well as masks are required for all students beginning with the age set by the County of Santa Clara. In our Baila y Canta class, participating parents/guardians must wear masks as well. Internal access to the dance studio is only allowed to registered participants and the instructors.  Gathering restrictions and social distancing is also enforced based on County guidelines.
